You get ten characters. Spaces included. It’s a small patch and legibility at a distance matters more than saying a lot — TRAINING reads from across a park, “please give my dog space” doesn’t.
Text is white. One colour, high contrast, easy to read in low light and from the far end of the lead.
An Australian mobile number is exactly ten digits, which is not a coincidence — it’s the most common thing people put on these.

Will they fit my gear?

Our patches have hook backing — the rough side — which grips the soft velcro panels found on tactical harnesses, working vests and dog packs across every brand.

Grab a tape measure and check the panel on your gear. Pick the size that sits inside it with a little room around the edge — a patch that overhangs won’t hold.

What they’re made of

PVC rubber face. Not embroidered thread that frays, not printed fabric that goes furry after a season of pulling on and off. A solid rubber face that holds its edge.
Weatherproof. Rain, mud, river, beach. Hose it off and it comes up clean.
Printed to order in Australia. The blanks come from overseas; every patch is printed here, one set at a time, after you order it.

FAQ 

Do these fit harnesses that aren’t from Bad Pets?
Yes. Our patches have hook backing — the rough side — which is what attaches to the soft velcro panels found on tactical harnesses, working vests and dog packs across every brand. Measure your panel and match it to one of the four sizes above. (On the rare harness where the panel itself is the rough side, these won’t grip.)

How much text can I have?
Ten characters, spaces included. Text is printed in white.

How many patches come in a set?
Two, both carrying the same text — one for each side of the harness or vest.

Can I have different text on each patch?
Not within a single set. Order two sets if you want a different message on each side.

Can I put a phone number instead of a name?
Yes, and it’s one of the most popular options. An Australian mobile number is exactly ten digits.

Are they waterproof?
Yes. The face is PVC rubber, so rain, mud and salt water are all fine. Rinse and wipe.

Will they fit a collar?
No. Our collars don’t have velcro panels, and most collars are too narrow to hold a patch. Patches are for harnesses, vests, coats and packs.

Can I swap them out later?
Yes — that’s the point of velcro. Order extra sets and change them depending on the day.
