Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Bad Pets collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to badpets.net.au and to orders placed with us at markets.

What we collect

When you place an order, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your delivery address
• Your phone number, if you provide one
• Details of what you ordered, including any custom text you ask us to print

When you browse the site, we also collect standard technical information — your IP address, browser type, which pages you visited and how you arrived. This comes through Google Analytics and is used in aggregate to understand how the site is being used.

Payment information

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. They go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. Stripe holds that information under its own privacy policy.

Why we collect it

To process and deliver your order, to contact you about it, to handle returns or warranty claims, to keep records we’re required to keep, and to improve the website.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information to anyone. We share it only where it’s needed to run the business:

• Australia Post  your name and delivery address, so your order arrives
• Stripe  to process your payment
• Our website host and email provider  who store the data on our behalf
• Google Analytics  anonymous usage data about the site

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia. We only use providers who commit to protecting personal information to a standard comparable to Australian requirements.

We may also disclose information where we’re required to by law.

Cookies

The site uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember you between visits, and measure traffic through Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the cart and checkout may not work properly if you do.

How we store it

Order data is held in our website’s system, protected by access controls and an encrypted connection. We keep order records for as long as we need them for warranty, tax and record-keeping purposes, and we delete what we no longer need.

No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@badpets.net.au and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

We may need to keep some order records even after a deletion request, where the law requires it.

If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, email info@badpets.net.au and we’ll look into it.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
